Program Descriptions
Basic Studies Program - Levels 1a – 1b:
This program is designed to meet the needs of
beginning level students and offers courses in
speaking/listening, reading/writing, grammar and life
skills. Students who complete this program will be able
to feel comfortable conversing with native speakers
about basic topics such as sports, weather, shopping,
and exchanging cultural information. Students will also
be able to gain confidence to participate in an American
classroom situation.
Students in the Basic Studies Program attend Speaking & Listening, Reading & Writing and Grammar classes in addition to Life Skillsclasses Monday - Friday. All classes are mandatory. See the weekly schedule below:

General Studies Program - Levels 2a – 3b:
This program provides instruction to students who
place at the low intermediate to high advanced levels.
Students will take courses in speaking/listening,
reading/writing, grammar and vocabulary. Students
who complete this program will build their knowledge,
understanding and ability to interact in English with
native speakers in a variety of situations that meet their
business, academic, and professional goals.
Students in the General Studies Program attend Speaking & Listening, Reading & Writing and extended Grammar classes as well as Vocabulary classes Monday - Friday. All classes are mandatory. See the weekly schedule below:

Academic Studies Program - Levels 3a-3b:
This program is designed to meet the needs of those
students whose goals are to attend a university to earn
degrees at the undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate
levels. Students who complete this program will receive
instruction in speaking/listening, reading/writing,
grammar and TOEFL iBT Preparation.
Please note, the Academic Studies program is an option only for those students who are studying in levels 3a or 3b of Capstone Grammar class.
Students attend classes Monday - Friday. All classes are mandatory. See the weekly schedule below:

Attendance Policy
Capstone strongly believes that in order to achieve academic success, students in all fields of study must be present and engaged in the classroom. In addition, full attendance and academic forward progress is essential to maintaining F-1 status. Thus, Capstone expects students to fulfill all USCIS attendance requirements.
School Hours are: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday
